The short version

Shootwright collects nothing. The app makes no network requests, so your screenshots, drawings and settings never leave your Mac.

The app

Screenshots are saved only to the folder you choose and, if you turn it on, copied to your clipboard. Text recognition (OCR) runs on your Mac using Apple's Vision framework. Your settings are stored in macOS's standard preferences on your Mac.

Shootwright has no accounts, no cloud upload, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. It asks for Screen Recording permission only because macOS requires it before an app can read the screen to take a screenshot.

This website

shootwright.app uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability.
